Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Though the donation of books (both class sets and Spanish chapter books), these resources will foster bilingual skills that are essential for academic growth. Many of my students come from homes where Spanish is there primary language, so having books in their home language helps them connect more deeply with the content. Access to Spanish books also builds confidence and encourages a love for reading. Additionally, it promotes inclucivity and respect for their cultural backgrounds within my classroom. Donations will ensure that all students have equal opportunities to succeed, regardless of language barriers. This support enhances engagement and motivation, improving overall classroom participation. Ultimately, these books are vital for nurturing a positive and effective learning environment for all students.
