My Project
My classroom is a comfortable and inviting space for all my Mighty Dolphins to feel safe and respected while learning effectively. Our students at SLES are placed with a great responsibility of living Dolphin PRIDE (Practicing Respect, Integrity, and Demonstrating Excellence) to be productive and global citizens. However, some students arrive at school with varying degrees of emotional baggage from their home life. In the classroom, they may experience feelings of anxiety, anger, or periods of high energy. I created a "Cool Down" corner for my students to help self-regulate during high periods of stress or emotions. Although the corner has been established, it has limited resources to help with that process.
By donating to this project, you will not only be improving their ability to self-regulate, but you will help their quality of life in school to be a positive and life changing experience.
My students will be able to look back at their time in my classroom feeling that I have made a positive difference in their lives that will set them up for success.
