My Students
My class is a very special group of young students. They all participate in the THRIVE program within the school. The THRIVE program stands Transformational experience, Healthy lifestyle, Responsible risks, Interdependence, Vocational employment, and Educational success.
The Thrive Program was created to provide an individualized and student-centered high school experience that ensures meaningful outcomes for our students.
The program consists of rigorous academic content as well as well-rounded vocational and daily living skills to help prepare our students for their future.
My students have a zest for life and school that is unmatched. They are eager to learn new things and are the hardest workers I know. I am excited about providing them with new and fun opportunities to grow both academically and in life.
My Project
I strive to help my students find new and innovative ways to learn, explore and interact in their environment. iPads have a variety of uses within the classroom for learning, but more importantly, to find new ways to increase communication.
Providing my students with opportunities to use technology will help create lifelong learners and build bridges to help them navigate the world around them.
When students leave the classroom and go into the community I want them to be able to communicate and advocate for themselves. Technology will be essential in their ability to interact with their communities.
