My Project
My students are curious, creative, and full of energy. This project will provide rod puppets to support our puppetry unit in performing arts, giving students hands-on opportunities to explore storytelling, movement, and character development in new and exciting ways.
Our students love performing arts and thrive when they can use their imaginations to create characters and bring stories to life.
Many have never worked with puppets before, and this experience will empower them to express ideas, build confidence, and collaborate with classmates in a joyful and engaging setting.
Puppetry builds public speaking and performance skills in a low-pressure, playful environment, collaboration, and creativity as students plan scenes together. Lastly, students will experience cultural appreciation by exploring global puppetry traditions.
With these puppets, students will gain confidence, develop their artistic voices, and deepen their understanding of theater as a multidimensional art form. They will walk away with memories of laughter, teamwork, and the pride of creating performances that come alive before their eyes.
