This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My 3rd grade students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love science and hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!
Our school is located in the inner city part of Phoenix.
Many family's often struggle to find employment and opportunity to further their education. Teaching these 8, 9 and 10 year olds you would never know they have many different struggles at home. Some homeless living with friends, many living with a single parent and often go home to an empty house .
Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an amazing incredible group, and I am so blessed and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each day!
My Project
My students will think resourcefully, and imaginatively with each bin. For example students will solve a problem with specified constraints. It will help build creative designed skills and apply structures to real-world designs using math and science to be artistic.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
These STEM bins are a hands-on STEM solution that is a creative and developmentally appropriate form of engineering in Math and Science for elementary students to become creative and learn from an inquire biased project.
