My students need soccer goals, balls, crawl tunnels and other equipment to fully experience the joys of soccer. Working cooperatively, they will learn by kicking at targets, passing to teammates, and creating offensive space while staying physically active.
This project expired on December 5, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Most of our students come from rural, low-income families, but they refuse to be defined by the obstacles they face.
School is a sanctuary for many of my students; it is a place where they can temporarily set aside the difficulties they face and focus on the joy and opportunities in front of them.
Many of my students have told me that school is their favorite place, and PE is their favorite class!!
My students are passionate about learning and are always excited to share their interests and goals. My students love physical education and are eager to learn each day.
These materials will create an infrastructure to teach soccer skills at our elementary school that will last for years to come. We need soccer goals, balls, crawl tunnels and other equipment.
Soccer is a sport that many students in rural Louisiana miss out on due to lack of access to basic supplies.
We want our students to learn the lessons of soccer provides while using appropriate equipment to ensure that a positive experience is rooted in their young minds.
Students will learn teamwork, coordination, and agility through foot skills and soccer units provided by professional PE trainers. With these materials, we will ensure that our students have access to appropriate supplies that will help create a lasting positive impression of soccer and the lessons it offers.
