This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have been involved in the Spanish Immersion program since elementary school. They are very eager to continue learning grade level material for social studies in Spanish. Many of them will continue the program in high school and aspire to have various career utilizing both languages.

My Project

Using stories, proyects, reading comprehension, and others activities from Teacher pay teacher and books like Discovering the past American History reading essential, I will try to awaken the interest for the past history in my students. What a better way than by relating interesting and important stories from our past to the present thats why we will be using a journal. In addition, my students will develop their writing skills in Spanish since they are in the Spanish immersion program. At the same time they will improve their grammar, punctuation and creativity in writing.

I want to help my students improve their knowledge about amazing stories from our past and relate them to the present in their journal.
