This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from a Title I school, meaning the majority of them come from low income families. Many of my students need extra support from school to reach their full potential.

My students deserve an opportunity to take their imagination to places they have yet to discover.

They not only strive every day to achieve their academic success but to foster the ideas of others around them. They build the self-esteem of themselves and classmates every day with their powerful acts and words of encouragement. The classroom community they're creating is an inspiring model to society. I know there is more for them to discover and would love for them to have the resources to make them successful.

My Project

Through the eyes of my students, taking assessments is never fun, especially with pencil and paper. In a digitally aged world many children know how to swipe, download, and even buy apps before learning how to write their name. Why not harness that intellect through the use of academic programs such as Nearpod. With the subscription of Nearpod my students will have an opportunity to connect, teach, and work with one another to complete lessons, assessments, tell stories, and much more. My students finally WANT to show their work because of the use of technology.

By donating to our project, you're giving my students an opportunity to achieve academic success through the use of an engaging, hands-on program that will keep them focused and eager to learn more of the task at hand.

Any time my students can work with technology to learn is "the best day ever". Their attention and focus is increased therefore increasing their understanding of the lesson and ultimately their academic success. Completing assignments will no longer be a dreaded chore but instead a requested task with the use of Nearpod!
