This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a special education teacher in a self-contained ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) classroom, I’ve learned that visuals aren't just helpful—they're essential. My students thrive with clear, engaging, and colorful materials that make learning more accessible, structured, and fun. Many of my students are non-readers or have limited verbal skills, so we rely heavily on visual schedules, picture-based communication tools (like PECS), token boards, choice cards, and adapted worksheets to meet their unique needs.

A color printer with a two-year supply of ink would allow me to create durable, high-quality materials that are much more engaging and easier for my students to understand.

From full-color visuals for emotional regulation charts to behavior supports and differentiated learning resources, this printer would bring learning to life every single day in our classroom.

With your support, I can create a more vibrant, accessible, and functional learning space where my students feel supported, empowered, and excited to learn. This small change would have a lasting impact on their daily success and long-term growth. Thank you for helping me meet my students where they are and give them what they truly deserve.
