My students need an iPad! I want to enhance what we do each day in the classroom by providing my students with fun and interactive ways to learn ELA skills

I think it is important for my students to have an open mind when it comes to learning and I feel an iPad would open the door to many possibilities to enrich what I teach in my classroom.
I have three classes of ELA students who are all bright and creative thinkers!
I would love to have an iPad to help enhance the ELA skills I teach everyday in my classes. My school is a charter school and part of our mission is to provide an engaging and innovative learning environment to our students to help them become independent thinkers. We do not have a lot of resources for technology because our school is relatively new and still growing. I feel I could use many different apps on our class iPad to enhance reading, writing, researching, and communication skills and to support my students critical thinking skills in many fun and interactive ways by integrating an i-pad in our class room.
My Project
Many of my students need extra support in reading and writing. I love the many ELA apps that are available and accessible to students through the use of an iPad. It is my goal to inspire as I teach and I feel I can not only capture and motivate my students through the many innovative apps that are accessible through an iPad, but also help my reluctant and struggling learners see new ways to be successful in reading and writing and to support their individual needs.
An iPad in my classroom will directly impact my students by: improving and increasing their learning opportunities, aiding in the Common Core ELA standards to help increase student achievement and to propel them forward into our global economy, and help me to utilize productive teaching methods and to create innovative classroom activities for all of my students.
