Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am thrilled to begin my first year teaching high school US and World History, and what I love most about my students is their curiosity and eagerness to learn. They ask insightful questions and are passionate about understanding historical events and figures.
My goal is to create an immersive history classroom where students see the relevance of the past in today's world, inspiring them to become informed and thoughtful citizens.
The US Native American tribe map, world map, and globe will help students visualize geography and the spatial context of history, enhancing their understanding of cultural interactions. The history of the American flag poster and history of the American soldier poster will illustrate the evolution of national symbols and significant figures, making these concepts more relatable. WW2 posters will engage students with visuals from this crucial period, sparking discussions and deeper analysis.
The bulletin board will display student work, current events, and interactive timelines, fostering a collaborative learning environment. A sturdy desk will help me organize lesson plans and support students effectively. Ink and paper are essential for providing handouts and worksheets.
