Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
What makes my students special? This question is extremely easy to answer. My students are special because each and every one of them is unique, hard-working, caring, funny, full of perseverance, and most of all they are our future! These students will be our future doctors, nurses, teachers, engineers, politicians, and those that will be taking care of us.

I am fortunate to have this experience daily. As a teacher, I love coming to work thanks to these special students. I have the privilege of teaching 20 dual language students. These students are working in two languages to be able to make a difference with both the English and Spanish speaking communities. My students attend a Title I school in the city. They come to school daily with a huge smile and are creating many beautiful memories not only for themselves but for me as their teacher.
My Project
After these last two years of being in this pandemic, something that we all realized is the importance of family, health, and social emotional health. Our students have gone through so much at such an early age. This school year they finally had an opportunity to go back to school and start making a fresh start. I would love to provide my students with a family board game that they would take home to spend some quality time with their family. This last year our families have gone through so much emotionally that it is time to heal.
Family game night is always a time to bond and feel connected!
Help me be able to give each of my student a board game to take home during the holiday season to be able and have fun and feel connected. The winter break is approaching and many of my students are still loosing family members due to illness and the pandemic....help me give them a family board game that will help them forget a little about all the sadness and unite as a family.
