Are you looking to help students develop better number sense in order to become more successful in mathematics? Well you're in the right place! I currently teach first grade in a Collaborative Team Teaching (CTT) environment. I am a full time general education teacher and I work with a full time special education teacher. Together we work to ensure that all of our students are learning in a safe and nurturing environment.

The dynamics of our classroom includes typically developing students, as well students with special needs. My partner and I believe that it is imperative that all of our students receive differentiated instruction in order to be motivated to learn, as well as succeed.

The calendar math activity kit will be used daily at the onset of the school year to review days of the week, patterns, graphs, and to acknowledge special occasions. The money and numbers kits will be used in small groups to support our money and addition units. We believe that these materials would be most beneficial as many of our students struggle in mathematics and require support in addition to traditional teaching strategies.

By purchasing the items we have requested, you will ensure that our students have the necessary materials that are needed to receive quality instruction that will address their needs and motivate them to succeed while achieving their academic goals.
