My Students
As a teacher in a high poverty school district, I work with students that are faced with challenges in and outside the classroom. Despite the challenges my students face, they persevere. My students are high energy, communicative, and enthusiastic learners. They have a lot of energy and are always looking for a fun way to learn. They love to get involved with the lesson in whatever way possible.
My students love to show off their work and teach their peers.
They are excited to teach each other, both in groups and in front of the class. My students are visual learners. They love to use different resources in the room to show learning strategies to their friends. The students are a great group of mathematicians, scientists, writers, and artists.
My Project
Worksheet after worksheet is boring for my students while they are trying to learn from home. Although some students can get on a computer to expand their learning many are dependent on a packet to learn or review school work.
A Teachers Pay Teachers Gift Card will allow me to by creative, fun, and interactive material for my students.
My students would love to have an escape room to complete at home or interactive learning pages. A gift card would also allow me to individualize work more, giving students work on the level that allows them to keep their skills sharp, but is not to hard for home learning.
