My Project
My students are incredibly curious and creative 4th and 5th graders. I see them engaged in critical thinking and problem-solving. By having access to a 3D printer, my students will develop their creativity and critical thinking skills.
"You can't use up creativity; the more you use, the more you have"-- Maya Angelou.
I've requested a 3D printer from a company called Toybox, which has created a 3D printer specifically for elementary students to have the best possible experience. The printing process is simple and engaging for young engineers. The printer also comes with multiple colors of filament, each with enough for 100-300 small objects. I also asked for some acrylic paint pens so that students can personalize the colors of their 3D objects. I know that my students will be very pleased with the items they create.
My students have so much passion for learning and for creating--we need more opportunities to expand our perspectives and our creativity. A 3D printer will stretch their imaginations and their critical thinking skills. Help us engineer great brain power! Thank you for considering donating to our project!
