Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach an incredible group of first graders who are full of curiosity, imagination, and enthusiasm for learning. They love expressing their ideas through art, whether it’s drawing pictures to go along with their writing, painting to explore emotions, or crafting hands-on projects that bring lessons to life. Art is a powerful way for them to build confidence, strengthen their fine motor skills, and develop a love for learning.

However, our classroom is running low on essential materials like construction paper, watercolor paints, and Sharpies items that help transform their ideas into vibrant works of art.

These supplies will allow my students to illustrate their stories, create seasonal projects, and explore different artistic techniques that enhance their creativity and problem-solving skills.

My goal for this project is to ensure that every child has access to the materials they need to express themselves freely and develop a deeper connection to learning. Art isn’t just about making something beautiful—it’s about building perseverance, creativity, and confidence.

What makes my students special is their endless creativity and enthusiasm. They take pride in their work, and I love seeing their excitement when they create something they’re proud of. With your support, I can provide them with the resources they need to continue exploring, learning, and growing as young artists.
