Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Hands-on learning is the best way to learn. Having glitter and other art supplies helps to make that hands-on learning colorful and memorable. With this grant, I hope to bring fun and creativity back into the classroom. I want my children to make works of art and writing that stand out! With the art paper we have and hope to get from another grant, the glitter, the index cards, and the popsicle sticks, I plan to have the children create puppets to retell stories. They will learn about characters, setting, and plot. They will learn to tell a story with a beginning, middle, and an end. I hope to teach them about plot twists and various endings to stories.
With these art supplies, my children will learn to tell stories with vivid characters, detailed settings, and amazing plots.
They will become story tellers and authors. Art is so much more than color and pictures. It is imagination, creativity, and thought.
