Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Imagine walking into a classroom where students feel safe, engaged, and inspired. A space where creativity flows freely, stress melts away, and learning thrives. I strive to create this kind of calming environment for my students every day.
Art has the power to soothe, focus, and uplift young minds.
Supplies like tempera paint sticks, watercolors, colored pencils, and markers aren’t just materials but tools for emotional expression, self-regulation, and joy. Paint allows students to experiment with color, blending, and movement while easing anxiety. The act of painting can be meditative, helping students reset and refocus. Creating paper designs will also give students a sense of ownership and self-expression.
When students have access to these materials, they gain more than just artistic skills. They learn resilience, problem-solving, and emotional regulation.
