My Students

All students are special, but I always claim that mine are #1! This year I am working with 2 separate groups of 3rd graders with various personalities, hopes, and dreams. I have a mixed bag of cultures, backgrounds, and beliefs. The neighborhood is very family oriented where you can walk down the street and will be greeted with a smile and quite possibly a hello on a first name basis. My students are eager to learn and make me proud.

My Project

These poster board, pencils and paper will allow my students to create posters, both large and small, of the Units of Study we are focussing on throughout the year ahead. They can work both independently as well as in cooperative groups to create study posters to have in the classroom.

Bringing the class to life with their own work will be a big hit.

I feel if they create them, they will take more pride in actually using and reading them.

They can also use the card stock to create flash cards to study their basic facts. The sooner they build their math fluency, the sooner their confidence rises.
