Bringing Back Old-School Fun in PE

Help me give my students a lifelong love and appreciation for physical fitness through the use of various games like frisbee, volleyball, football, and kickball during PE class and recess.

My Project

Our school is filled with energy, laughter, and the most amazing students. With the recent addition of a 7th and 8th-grade wing, we have merged from a K-6 building to a K-8 building. Our school family is made up of approximately 700 students. The items like balls listed in our DonorsChoose project will enable us to fill in gaps in our PE curriculum. As we strive to meet the needs of all of our students, we are constantly looking for ways to improve our practice and provide them with resources to improve their physical fitness and overall health and well-being. Because our society has become so technology-focused, kids oftentimes "sit" on devices and are not physically active. The fulfillment of these grant items will help us to engage students and model the importance of life-long physical activity.

This project will help us restock our PE office with classic games to help teach kids the basic fundamentals of classic games but also teach teamwork and cooperation and motivate our students to be amazing teammates.
