Bringing Ancient Egypt & Mesopotamia to Life for Sixth Graders

Help me give my students classroom books to help them explore the ancient Mesopotamian and Egyptian Civilizations.

My Project

I love the energy and curiosity that my 6th grade students bring to the classroom every day. They are at a unique age where they are just starting to develop a real interest in history and the world around them, and I feel privileged to be a part of that journey. My students are special because they are eager to learn, and they have a wonderful sense of humor that keeps the classroom lively.

The literature I am requesting will make a difference in my students' learning because it will bring the history of ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia to life in a way that is engaging and accessible to them.

The books I have selected are written specifically for adolescent learners, so they will be able to connect with the texts on a personal level. The lessons I'll be teaching will help my students understand the daily lives, beliefs, and culture of the people who lived in these ancient civilizations, and the impact they had on the world. The students will be able to see how these civilizations shaped the world as we know it today, and the knowledge they gain will be something they can carry with them for the rest of their lives.

By having access to these materials, my students will be able to deepen their understanding of history and appreciate the rich cultural heritage of ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. I believe that these books will make a lasting impact on my students' education, and I am eager to share a passion for history with them.
