This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love that my students are curious, imaginative, and eager to learn when they find books that truly engage them. They thrive when given opportunities to explore new worlds through literature, and The Wild Robot series is the perfect way to captivate their minds while strengthening their reading skills.

By providing my students with these books, they will be able to immerse themselves in a heartwarming story that teaches resilience, problem-solving, and empathy.

These books will not only improve their reading comprehension but also inspire thoughtful discussions about friendship, survival, and adapting to challenges—important lessons that extend beyond the classroom.

My goal for this project is to foster a deep love for reading by giving my students access to engaging, high-quality literature that excites them. Many of my students do not have books at home, so having their own copies of The Wild Robot will make reading more accessible and meaningful.

What makes my students special is their determination to learn despite the challenges they face. As a Title I school, many of my students lack access to books outside of school, yet they are eager and excited to dive into new stories when given the chance. This project will provide them with an unforgettable reading experience and help build their confidence as readers.
