My students need brightly colored, easily held balls to use for various activities in the gym due to their visual and physical impairments. The students with autism would love the various animal shaped poly spots.

My Students
Our school is a school for students with special needs in Indianapolis that services four local township schools (Beech Grove City Schools, Franklin Township, Perry Township and Decatur Township). We teach students with autism, cognitive disabilities, emotional disabilities, and students who have vision, hearing, and mobility issues.
Some of our students with cognitive and emotional disabilities as well as our students with autism need help developing balance, coordination, muscular strength and endurance as well as a need to develop problem-solving skills, cooperation, and social skills Many of our students have sensory needs that we would like to address in creative, new ways.
My Project
The equipment requested have multifaceted uses. All of the students would love the way the Omnikin balls bounce in the air with ease. The fingerlight balls are light, colorful, and latex free and the poly spots are shaped like various animals. These spots would be a great help organizing students in to groups, would allow for us to review colors, and hold discussions about animals. Not only will the equipment afford me the opportunity to be more creative in my teaching, but will also suit our students with special needs rather well.
The students I teach need brightly colored balls and objects, equipment that is easy to handle or strike, and would enjoy new and creative ways to get in groups.
All of the objects would be put to use if this projects is funded and myself and my students would be greatly appreciative of your generosity.
