This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class this year is Pre-K Reverse Mainstream, serving students a variety of needs. My students are a mix of 3-5 year old students with varying personalities. My goal as a teacher is to try to find each and every one of my students' strengths and weaknesses and try to make them even better.

More than three-quarters of my students are from low-income households, which means that 76% or more of my students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.

Many of the students come from different backgrounds. My class has students coming from all walks of life: some from different countries; some with different levels of abilities and capabilities. Miami is called a melting pot for a reason. My school is a Title I school. Many of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch. I want to give my students every opportunity to learn, grow, an be successful.

My Project

Today technology is playing a HUGE part in education and in our daily lives. What better way to learn about the world around you than to be able to have access at your fingertips.

Students will be able to use interactive programs to help build fine motor, communication, and even help bridge the gaps in basic knowledge.

Students that have problem communicating can use different programs to help build vocabulary and give them visual and auditory examples. They can also you this technology to access programs and apps to build fine motor skills. The possibility that they can achieve is monumental, the information they can access to help them bridge the gaps in their learning in new and fun ways.
