Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This is a bilingual special education class in a Title I school. For the last two years, due to the pandemic, students have lost so much. This year I will make sure this doesn’t happen again. With your help, the children will be able to transition into our school classrooms feeling safe and ready to learn. My students are very inquisitive and they care about each other. They were a wonderful, happy bunch before the pandemic. We need to bring them back to school

Please help me bring their social and emotion state back to what it used to be by adding resources that will bring back student's confidence and relieve stress.

These resources will spark discussion and unity among students. Thus giving children another chance to learn and feel safe.

My Project

These yoga mats will make a difference in children's learning by helping them focus and giving them time to decompress. It will also create a safe place for them to share their feelings with their peers. The color markers will help students with their letter formation by adding vibrant colors to their whiteboards. Thus, contributing to their learning of phonics which they need for them to learn to write. The children loss too much last year! Let’s give them the tools to make it happen! When you help a child, you are helping our new generation succeed!
