I teach in an elementary school that is part of a large school district. My students are part of a Title I school, so I have a population of low income students who need more than the average student.
I love to teach students to read and enjoy using a variety of supplies to keep them engaged.
They love the information that is brought to them through the Scholastic magazines.
This would be a wonderful benefit for my students to have. We can read and learn in the classroom and then they can take the magazine home to share with their families.
My Project
Introducing current events into my classroom can be the spark I need to ignite incredible learning journeys across the curriculum.
When you use the news to guide your students through—and beyond—the “five W’s” of who, what, where, when, and why, you’ll help them build core knowledge, make informed decisions, and become engaged members of our global community.
Quoted from Audra Wallace.
I have found Scholastic News a wonderful starting point for incredible conversations in my classroom. I feel like now more than ever they need this resource. Please help us read!
