it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As the school librarian, I have the privilege of witnessing the spark of joy and curiosity that books ignite in students. My library is filled with eager readers who love immersing themselves in stories that entertain, inspire, and encourage them to read more. One series that consistently captivates students is Dog Man. These books are beloved by children for their humor, engaging illustrations, and relatable characters. By adding the complete Dog Man series (Books 1-13) to our library, I can meet the high demand for these titles, encourage reluctant readers, and provide all students with an opportunity to fall in love with reading.
The Dog Man series will make a meaningful difference in students' learning by fostering a love for books, improving reading fluency, and building their confidence as readers.
These books are perfect for engaging readers of all levels, from those just starting to those who already enjoy diving into chapter books. My goal for this project is to create a collection that excites every child who visits the library.
What makes my students special is their enthusiasm and resilience. They come from diverse backgrounds, and many are learning in a dual-language environment. These books will give them an exciting reason to visit the library, helping to create a community of readers who can't wait to turn the next page.
