Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students need a calm and relaxing media center in which they feel welcome. My student enjoy reading and learning about new things in the media center.

An ambience of nature and outside will help make our media center climate and environment welcoming.

Imagine seeing the outside brought in with fake plants and boxwood panels throughout the media center. Students will have a new appreciation for nature and the environment with these new decorations in our library. I know that the new decorations will encourage learning about plants and the environment which can be done easily by reading about these topics from books in our library. Also, the addition of new borders and rustic READ letters will aide in the effort of making our media center a relaxing place to read and check out books. Teachers throughout the school will also enjoy the new vibe that this project will inspire in the media center.
