My students are outgoing, caring and fun-loving students who always want to participate in PE (Physical Education). That is one of the many things I love about teaching this age group. The game or the skill is not always the most important thing to them. This is a good thing as long as we are up and moving and all have the equipment, we are all happy. I love to be able to put a piece of equipment in the hand of each of my students and see what they can accomplish.
My Project
The equipment such as the bowling equipment will be a new game and skill that my students have not had the chance to experience. Yes, we have completed rolling skills however have not had the equipment to actually learn the game of bowling. The different sizes of basketballs will benefit all my students. With this project and the wish list of equipment will ensure that I have enough equipment for each individual student to have a basketball when having skill practice lessons and sessions. This will also ensure that I can delete old equipment that is being used but not the best serviceable equipment. The organization pieces of equipment on our wish list will allow students easy access to the equipment, therefore, giving students more responsibility for cleaning up the equipment and giving us more class time to actually play and practice skills. It gives me as the teacher more time management as well as giving my students more time on task. If my students can manage and help in the cleanup and clearing of equipment then it is a win-win on both ends.
