Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love a good read aloud! They love to immerse themselves in the text. This is the time where I am able to make the words in a book come to life. My classroom library is lacking in many different kinds of books. I want to be able to provide my students with book that promote diversity, that is culturally responsive and that feeds to the students interest.

These books will allow my classroom library to be filled with different kinds of texts where my students can see themselves!

With these books, I would be able to create a classroom library where students are excited to reach for books and read with each other. It will also allow me to gain more read aloud texts for my class!
