My students are a group of fun loving & caring students. Each students tries their hardest but have faced many obstacles in achieving greatness. My students range from have learning disabilities, high functioning autism, behavioral needs & development delays as well as living in low economic families & attending a Title 1 school.
I want my students to start to enjoy learning again.
My students require A LOT of redirection, distraction free zones, visual aids as well as small group instruction which has made learning such a difficult & tedious task. My students are so eager to learn new skills but when I cannot give them the tools they need to succeed I feel like I have failed them. My students work hard with what we are given so I know I need to work three 16 times harder for them. They are the greatest kids I have ever met & deserve all the best to help them succeed.
My Project
These resources will help my students be able to focus better during lessons & giving them an encouraging reason to work hard in the classroom. The wiggle stools will help students who have difficulty sitting still in a regular chair, the spider chairs will help encourage students read in our reading corner as well as give another flexible seating option. The large pillows will provide my students with creating a cozy corner to help relax and cool down when they are having a difficult time. The bands help students who needs to fidget in a chair stay focused and all our large rubber bands broke this year.. OOPS, we must of really needed them.
