I am teaching Fiction Reading to 4th grade students at the most diverse school in Indiana. In my homeroom alone, students hail from Mauritania, Algeria, Honduras, Mexico, and Thailand.
One way for students to access and understand literature, is to act it out.
Students will easily be able to record themselves using an iPad with a tough case. These films will also make it possible to bring parents into the classroom virtually, if COVID precautions are necessary again this winter.
My students will love bringing stories to life through dramatic performance. This will also help EL students gain more practice speaking!
