Bring the Blocks Outside! Creative Play with Blocks-Part 2

Help me give my students outdoor building blocks to engage with during outdoor play and a speaker to play music.

My Project

We need outdoor equipment and materials to play with during our outdoor centers. Our preschool classes have limited supplies because we share a playground with the kindergarten classes. Blocks will provide opportunities to be creative and build with age-appropriate materials outside of the classroom. Building blocks allow children to use their imagination while gaining social skills and learning cooperative play. We also need a replacement speaker to play music while outside.

I teach preschoolers with special needs who are developing stronger social, motor, cognitive, and language skills.

Playing with blocks helps develop motor skills in addition to problem solving and self-expression. Practicing social skills at this age is very important to our children. Engaging with blocks encourages communication, turn-taking and sharing with others.

Young children need choices during play. Adding wood blocks to our outdoor centers will be a wonderful and much appreciated addition. We also need a replacement speaker to continue to play music while outside. Thank you for supporting my preschool classroom.
