My Students

The students in my Fourth Grade class this year make up one of the largest classes in the smallest elementary school in the LaPorte Community School Corporation. Many of these students are above-level learners with a passion for learning and a desire to be enriched with technology. The hope is to provide them with the most opportunities to make a difference in their school and community by opening doors in the field of STEM. These children are beginning their last year of elementary school and my goal is to provide them with the social, emotional, and physical tools they need to succeed to achieve their dreams!

My Project

Providing an opportunity to use coding and robotics in a real world setting will make a memorable impact on these student's lives. Most of these students would not otherwise have the chance to create and explore STEM outside of their school setting. Most admirable about these children is their desire to learn, explore, and problem solve in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Having the Lego WeDo and Dash in the class will foster community and leadership in our classroom this year and years to come. It is my passion, as their teacher, is to provide them with endless possibilities to be successful in their community a shine as the extraordinary individuals they are!
