This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students are 3rd, 4th and 5th graders who have autism. My students are wonderfully bright, loving, and compassionate children who love to read, explore, and learn. My students are beautifully diverse in culture, language, race, and ability. They bring different strengths and weaknesses to the classroom and help each other to thrive in and out of the classroom.

As a first year teacher in a brand new classroom, I am in need of different options for my students!

My Project

For students with special needs, color and contrast are extremely important for their learning, social stories as well as state mandated testing such as the dlm or dynamic learning maps assessment. My students need social stories and choice boards in color to be able to make accurate decisions by having accurate and engaging colors. As well, to complete state mandated testing my students need colored copies of their test as well as pictures printed in the school. My school does not have a color printer so completing these task would be impossible without your help!
