This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As the school year comes to a close, the time has come to introduce the students to Shakespeare! A majority of students have never read a play before, let alone familiarized themselves with Shakespeare, and providing each student with their own copy of the play allows them to crack the spine, mark the text, and take ownership over their learning in a way not possible while sharing books.
No Fear Shakespeare makes Shakespeare's plays more accessible to students.
This book provides a modern English translation to help guide the students while they learn and adjust to the Early Modern "Shakespeare Language." Not every student is able to purchase a brand new copy of a book, but every student deserves access to a quality education and the resources to help them succeed.
