Bring Rock Band to Nettelhorst

My Students

The community consists of an incredibly diverse student body coming from all walks of life. At our school, each student recognizes their own creative potential while utilizing their own individual gifts to elevate others. Our children understand how to explore all creative possibilities and are not afraid to take the road less traveled from a musical standpoint. The Fine Arts at our school is used as a way for children to cognitively process in an endless color palette as opposed to just a few options. As an educator, I take great pride in the opportunity to provide a well rounded musical experience for our children.

From a musical standpoint, our students work hard to expand every aspect of their intelligence.

They are sure to dive deep into all musical roles to become composers, arrangers, teachers, performers, listeners and so much more. Nettelhorst students share the same passion for music education as I do which is my favorite part about teaching them. They are always looking for the next instrument to play, a song to write or an opportunity to build a creative movement piece to music. Inside the walls of my school, the musical possibilities have no limitations and our students thrive.

My Project

This year we brought bucket drumming to our school and our young percussionists loved it! We have several students interested in playing the drum set. Having access to a drum set would allow students to have a complete rock band experience.

This drum set would compliment several of our young guitarists already and students that have quite a few years of piano under their belt.

Through our partnership with Little Kids Rock students have been provided with several keyboards as well as ukuleles to play. This drum set will open the door to even more of an opportunity to expand the musical opportunities provided to Nettelhorst students.
