Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a public school located in Washington Heights in Manhattan. We have a large Hispanic, special education and English Language learner population. We are excited to offer many computer science opportunities in our building.
The vision at our school is that all members of the school community will be treated with equality, dignity, and respect.
We must engage students actively in the learning process while they are working to achieve their full potential as competent, respectful, socially responsible citizens. We must facilitate academic excellence by enabling all students to attain maximum academic achievement. We want them to have hands-on experiences often and be able to have opportunities to display their work!
My Project
I am requesting two Activ-Connect OPS-G attachment for two Promethean boards in our school. The ActivConnect OPS-G will create a captivating experience for our lessons, by allowing all students to mirror their devices to the BIG screen and share their thoughts with all. This connector allows our board to turn into a giant tablet-like device offering us to access to TONS of educational apps and activities. New boards cost over $4000.00 and these connectors will help give us the capabilities of a brand new board! It will have all the same benefits of a brand-new board and will engage many learners!!
