My Project

My class is an incredibly diverse community of readers who don't always have enough access to great books. In my room, we strive to grow skills as well as a lifelong love of reading. We do this by finding out who we are as readers - what kinds of books we love (and don't love!), are inspired by, and spark our curiosity. Students build self-awareness and reading skills by always having great books in their hands. They learn to choose books that interest them, are at their level, and help them grow their reading skills. Recently, our classroom library suffered a great loss - many high-interest books were damaged beyond repair by mice and we need your help to replace them.

With these books, our library will be restored and students will have lots of high-interest books at their fingertips to grow into motivated, independent, excited readers!
