My Students
My students are amazing 2nd graders who always want to move up reading levels and become more fluent in math. They are constantly learning new strategies to be more successful in these areas. When a strategy challenges them, they do not give up.
My students are inquisitive and fascinated by any new knowledge they gain.
There are plenty of gasps and sounds of disbelief when they hear a new fact or find a pattern that helps them grasp the content.
My Project
These magazines will help students learn about current events and science on their level. The information they gain is necessary prior knowledge for engaging in more challenging texts. Furthermore, the digital access will provide students with a differentiated version of the magazine. Students can also access videos and additional vocabulary scaffolds to support their reading comprehension.
These magazines will answer my curious students' questions and encourage them to ask even more questions.
Their interest and curiosity will lead to more learning and discovery. Moreover, reading these magazines will help them write various genres.
