Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Technology is such an important part of the modern classroom. The reality is that our students today will be living and working in a future that is dependent on technology.
My goal is to bring technology into the English Language Arts classroom and use it to make engaging lessons and content for my students.
This particular webcam will aid in three specific ways.
I will use this as a document cam during normal English lessons. Using the critical reading process, we usually annotate text. This webcam has a desk view and rotating camera that will allow me to use it to project my annotations to the class.
The second thing this will allow me to do is use both the webcam function and the desk view for my zoom interpreter. I have deaf students who use an ASL interpreter over zoom. This would allow me to show the interpreter documents and for them to see me as I teach.
The last thing I would use this for is for modern book reports. Instead of doing traditional, written book reports, I want my students to record videos that talk about, review, and suggest books for their classmates. This would help facilitate students' ability to record and share modern "book reports".
