My Project

Hi, my name is Zenzile Keith, and I am the Chief Student and Family Support Officer at a vibrant K-6 charter school where our students are curious, creative, and full of potential. This March, we are launching a new after-school music program that will offer courses in piano, guitar, chorus, and violin. Piano and guitar are two of our most requested classes, and to make this possible, we need to purchase beginner keyboards and guitars so students can learn with the proper tools.

The goal of this project is to introduce students to the joy of music and provide them with a foundation in instrumental skills.

With these instruments on-site, we’ll ensure a 2:1 instrument-to-student ratio, allowing every child ample opportunity to learn and practice. Beyond music, this program will help students develop focus, discipline, and teamwork while fostering creativity and self-expression.

What makes our students special is their resilience and enthusiasm for learning. Many come from underserved communities with limited access to arts education, but they bring incredible energy and talent to every opportunity they’re given. Your generosity will allow us to create a space where they can explore their musical potential, gain confidence, and experience the transformative power of the arts.
