My Project

All of our students want to learn to sing and perform at least once in their lives. Our classes can only perform with one or two microphones the at a time right now because of microphone and cables qualities. This leads to the acoustic issue of not everyone being heard. On stage the microphones and cables will provide the opportunity for the kids to be heard in a performance. In the classroom with more microphones available, I can teach the students microphone norms. This helps them with the basic idea of acoustic quality in the songs and it also helps to build the self-esteem that they need. Wireless microphones are great because they allow us to move around the space as we perform. As they progress, they will be able to do solos, solis and full group performances . We will be able to take these with us when we travel and plug them into the sound system with the cables to perform and record, and controlling the levels completely. The microphones will play many roles in the program for the students. First and foremost, it will give all students a chance to be heard when they are performing on stage. The volume can be control while they perform, by using the cables to hook into a soundboard. This will enhance the environment not only on the concert stage but the music classroom as well.
