Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are special in their own unique way. They are curious and eager to learn. I teach a diverse collaborative classroom that consists of students who are typically developing and students with special needs (Autism, Speech and/or Language Impairments, and Other Health Impaired).
My students have different sensory and social emotional needs.
The stress balls and squishy fidget toys will help my students focus during large group, teacher directed instruction, and transitions. The chair bands will provide alternative seating in the classroom for those students who have fidgety feet. The lamination sheets will help me laminate social stories, visuals, student schedules, and core boards. The recordable answer buzzers will help students with letter sounds, letter identification, numbers, rhyming words, and classroom rules. The easy grip washable markers make it easy for students to grasp while guiding their little fingers to a proper writing grip.
The other supplies (stapler remover, Sharpies, Post-its, wooden pushpins, and Velcro) will help me start our new school year by getting organized, labeling the classroom, organizing student work, and creating interactive activities for the class.
