My Students

My students are from a variety of backgrounds but the majority of my students consists of those who are raised out of traumatic experiences. My students are brave, determined, and hopeful that, regardless of their background they will achieve great things. We say the knowledge they receive in my classroom is their superpower. With their power, they can do right by others, empower others, and educate others to stand up against any negativity or oppression that they may come across in society.

My Project

Some of these materials are essential to student success. The headphones allow my kids to be immersed in their online education programs when necessary. Also, the scholastic subscription (Grades 4-6) will boost literacy and comprehension with a wide range of useful texts. The reading level variety, and Lexie variety, will encourage all students to pick up a text and read. The tools/supplies will all serve a purpose, with great meaning, to 140 kids each year. It’s this time in their lives that they need to see that other people, outside of their teachers and family, care for their future success.
