This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are bright, curious minds who are hungry for intellectual challenges that match their potential. Right now, they're ready to tackle complex themes like ambition, responsibility, and what it means to be human - exactly the questions Mary Shelley explores in Frankenstein. This isn't just another book; it's a gateway to critical thinking about science, ethics, and society that will push them to analyze, debate, and grow as thinkers.
These students have shown me they're capable of wrestling with sophisticated ideas, but they need the right materials to reach their full potential.
A class set of Frankenstein would give them the challenge they're craving, allowing them to engage with Gothic literature, examine the consequences of unchecked ambition, and connect 200-year-old themes to today's discussions about technology and ethics.
