In the past, making small character sculptures was always a challenge because many students lacked basic sewing skills. However, using Moru, the jumbo-sized pipe cleaner, introduced a no-sew method that made the process accessible and enjoyable for everyone.\r\n\r\nStudents were absolutely overjoyed throughout the project, creating their own Moru dolls as their brand character and designing magazine ads for their jewelry brands, promoting their characters. They were so proud of their creations and couldn't wait to show them off. When I asked them to leave their projects in the classroom for grading, many groaned and joked that it was \"so cruel\" to leave their adorable dolls behind!\r\n\r\nThis project truly boosted my students' confidence and creativity. This continuity has made the project even more exciting, as it gives new students the chance to contribute to a shared, meaningful piece of art.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are planning to create a prototype where each student designs their own set of wings using Perler beads. The technology we use in the classroom supports learning by providing interactive ways for students to practice skills, track their progress, and explore new techniques independently. Seeing their efforts turn into tangible results keeps them motivated and engaged.\r\n\r\nStudents are especially excited about the hands-on, interactive nature of this project. They love experimenting with new techniques and \"depositing\" their efforts into their own creative growth. Your contributions made this unit an exciting and memorable experience for my students.\r\n\r\nStudents were absolutely thrilled to open their minifigures and trade them with classmates, which created a fun and collaborative energy in the classroom. Over the course of the unit, we explored three different jewelry-making techniques using Lego. We made necklaces using minifigures as pendants, learning how to safely drill into them and use E-6000 adhesive to assemble our pieces. We also created small keychain charms with emoji-like faces, practicing how to use a vice to drill into Lego pieces. For the final project, students had the freedom to creatively connect Lego pieces and design jewelry or accessories of their choice.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, the class was filled with excitement, creativity, and positive energy. This was such an exciting breakthrough for the class. While some students found the smiley face tricky at first, after a few tries, many were thrilled to master the technique.\r\n\r\nStudents had an absolute blast using their pom poms in our jewelry set project. This allows the class to be on the same page. Also, as we complete 2-3 chapters(takes less than 20-25 minutes), students take pictures of their favorite pages that they want to keep in their visual journals and later create a visual journal using these pages as their reference.\r\nThank you so much for helping us purchase a class set of this book.
