This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My third grade class is a group of students that are eager to learn, inquisitive, and creative. Many of my students are English language learners and I admire them for their courage and tenacity to seek knowledge and continue working even when it is hard. They learn best through hands on projects and events that they can connect to. As a brand new school resources are limited. Your donations will help support my students learning and continue to grow a rich learning environment for these children as they connect to the world they live in.
My Project
As a brand new school with very little resources, your donation will allow my students access to current events and geography through a Scholastic magazine subscription. Our school does not have a social studies curriculum and this project will allow me to provide a meaningful way for students to connect to the world they live in. Also I have a very limited amount of nonfiction print in my classroom. These magazines would provide an opportunity for my students to be connected to events that are happening today and allow English Language Learners rich exposure to nonfiction. Thank you for your support to make a difference in the lives of my students.
