My Project
English learners new to our school walk in the door hungry to begin their educational journey, but oftentimes the students and their families don't have the disposable income to buy art supplies. The high cost of living here means money earned needs to go toward rent.
Oftentimes students do not have art supplies at home, and owning some would give them the opportunity to do project work at home.
The colored pencils, markers, rulers and pencil bags and sharpeners will be part of a welcome pack, to be distributed to students as soon as they walk in. We hope that these small gifts will get them to keep coming back to school, even when the learning is hard!
