My students need play items such as costumes and props to engage in realistic play. I feel the career hat selection and the multicultural food items will best help them connect their present to their future.

My Students

My students are a happy and busy group of students who are eager to learn and explore. They have a strong desire to learn and are curious about the world around them. They come to school wanting to learn and take in all that they can. They are amazed by the information that is out there and love to get their hands on things to figure out how they work.

My students come from neighborhoods all across Worcester and many of them come from low income homes.

They, like all children, deserve unique experiences to expand their minds and horizons!

My Project

Our students are increasingly focusing their play around electronics and online games. Kids are now struggling to learn and communicate through authentic real world scenarios. Items such as costumes, hats, play food and dishes, and play tool sets will allow them to create a better vision for their futures. Students will be able to express themselves and their interests through play and exploration.

Allowing students engagement and access to child size items allows them to utilize their imaginations while developing important communication skills.

Through this play, students will be able to begin to set their sights on their future aspirations. Access to dramatic play items encourages students to communicate, discuss, share, create and imagine!
